Strategy setting will include the conformance to regulatory and legislative requirements specific to the geography and home country. Duration of this assignment varies depending on the size of the organization and the IT Department Maturity Assessment – Greening Your ITOne of our experienced Green IT consultants conducts a gap analysis of our clients IT premises to determine the maturity level of the organisation’s response in dealing with today’s challenges and expectations of Greening their IT. A snap shot is taken on the current state of play, providing a baseline from which to measure improvement over time. The scope can vary and we are able to tailor the scale of assessment; we do however, suggest core elements be included in the scope. The results of our maturity assessment are presented in a report with a scorecard that forms the framework for our clients to move forward and provides a structured approach for ongoing improvement. Our report also includes a project plan with specific activities and tasks that can be executed to improve the scorecard results over time. Measuring your organizations Carbon FootprintEstablishing the Carbon Footprint of an organization can be the first step in a program to reduce the emissions it causes; one of our experienced Green IT consultants will deliver a workshop on site to our corporate client’s key stakeholders and explain what is Carbon Footprint, why it is important to know what their Carbon Emissions are, and why measuring this is becoming more imperative. When calculating an organisation’s footprint our Green IT Consultant will evaluate as full a range of emission sources as possible in order to provide an inclusive representation of the organisation’s impact to the environment. Our Consultant then helps our clients to measure and manage their Carbon Footprint over time by providing a report of our findings and the action plan to move forward. Green IT CoachWe provide a mentoring hand to guide our clients in achieving the desired results for their Greening IT program. Plus Green IT believes in ‘teaching our clients to fish’, so the Green IT Coach is a mentor that will guide the selected Green IT champions through the design, development, implementation and management of a Green IT program or project. Our Green IT Coach will take a lead role in the early stages while preparing our client’s champions to ‘take the rod’. Before long, our client’s own staff will be driving the Green IT project with our Green IT Coach providing a quality assurance and mentoring hand. This unique approach provides our clients with access to experienced Green IT Experts when they need them for as long as necessary to assist them in developing their own Green IT skills. Throughout the coaching a Cultural Change Program (CCP) will underpin the activities. The CCP is a critical element, which manages the transformation of the culture of our client’s organization to one, which is focused on Green IT, Carbon Emissions, and Environmental responsibilities. The CCP can include a communications program, awareness sessions, certified Green IT education, and coaching / mentoring services.
